How do I get my site to the top of the search engines?

One of the most frequent questions I'm asked is, " how do I get my website to the top of the Search Engines? " There is no simple answer to this question, but it is not as hard as it may seem. 

On the Internet, content is King, the more content, relevant to what buyers and sellers are looking for, the better.  With Real Pro Systems integrated Blog you can write articles or posts that will help you come up on the top of the search engines. One key is to sprinkled the article with specific words or phrases. And please, feel free to interject your personality. Example:
This morning while I was dropping off my son at South Eugene High School, I began to reflect on how lucky we are to live Eugene, OR, a community that supports their schools. Last week, in the Eugene Weekly, I was reading about the number of school programs that are being eliminated from pubic school systems around the country. The number risen dramatically in the past five years. I feel exceptionally fortunate to live in Lane County, where many of our school districts still have a full schedule of sports orts and other after school activities for our children to enjoy. The education of our children is a priceless investment that will continue to pay dividends for years to come.
Notice the sprinkling of the bolded words. This is so "spiders" will see that my Blog post is relevant to someone searching for South Eugene High School, Eugene, OR, Eugene Weekly, and Lane County. Over time my post will be indexed and pulled to the top of search engines.

Star Power -Phoenix

We just got back from a great,  Star Power event in Phoenix, Arizona. Lucky for us the weather wasn't too terribly hot and humid, thought it had its moments.

It was so amazing to see so many agents full of enthusiasm at the conference. It is nice to see everyone sharing information which each other and brainstorming for new approaches to drive new business in today's down trending/ slower markets that many areas of the country are experiencing.

Our booth was present among other venders with today's best solutions to help Real Estate  professionals take their business to the next level.  Real Pro Systems stealth sites  and automated email follow up systems always stand out as the leading approach to capturing buyers and sellers that are not ready to work with an agent.

We had a wonderful client reception that was a lot of fun. All of us enjoy meeting our clients in person and hearing about their successes.

I wanted to Thank the both of you and all of those who have helped me with any questions that I've had with the website. I believe it has been approximately 9 or 10 months since Real Pro started my website and I have been very happy.

I also wanted to share that I have been closely tracking all leads from the website and as of June 30, 2007, I have closed two separate transactions where both buyers were the results of Real Pro Leads. Total Commissions: over $13,000.

Need Extra Space? Try Storage

If lack of space for your belongings is an issue for you, off-site storage may be the right solution. You don’t have to be a pack rat to find yourself needing extra space. You could be renovating a room and need somewhere to house the contents. Perhaps you need to move into smaller quarters temporarily while you’re waiting to move into a new home. Or you may need to create a spacious look for your home while it is on the market.

Renting storage space is a pretty simple process, especially when you plan ahead. Here are helpful tips for choosing a facility and protecting your Property:

Shop around to find the facility that best meets your needs such as storage size, price, accessibility and security. 

When shopping for a storage facility, you will need to know what size unit is required to hold your possessions. Typically you can choose a space from as small as 5’x5’, which is the size of a small closet and holds between 10-15 boxes, to 10’ x 25’, which is about the size of a single-car garage. The facility’s representative can help decide what is the best size for you.

You also want to make sure that your items will be secure. Ask questions such as: Is there a guard on duty? Video surveillance? Alarms?  Do you need to provide your own lock? Is the area well lit?

In addition, don’t assume that the facility, or your homeowner’s or renters insurance, covers your belongings in case of theft or damage. Most storage centers assume no responsibility for your items, so talk with your insurance provider.

You also want to have reasonable access to your belongings. Find out the facility’s hours of operation and the name of a contact person.

Before signing any agreement, inspect the facility and your storage unit for cleanliness and signs of proper maintenance. Is the area well protected from rain, snow or humidity?

Make certain that you understand the rental agreement and get a copy of the contract. Are you renting on a month-to-month or a six-month basis? Is there a deposit? Does termination of the agreement need to be in writing? How much advance notice do you have to give?

Before moving your possessions to the storage unit, take actions to protect them from damage or theft. While packing, label boxes on each side by numbers rather than content. Make a master inventory list so that you know what is in each box, as well as furniture and other unpacked items. Don’t use newspaper as packing paper because it may smudge off on your items.

Prepare your unit by placing plastic on the floor. If you will be moving in large furniture, lay down blankets or sheets as well. Then store your most valuable possession first, toward the back.  Store frequently used items at the front. Make sure that you leave a walkway so you can access your belongings. In addition, leave a small space between the objects and the storage unit’s walls.

No matter what the reason, using an off-site storage unit is a good solution for your short-term space challenge. Just make sure that you understand the terms of your agreement and that your belongings are secure.

Sprinkle the text with keywords and relevant links to support the points you're making and you increase your search engine rankings.

Easy ways to add content to your own Blog, if you're not a writer:

  • Put together an interview on a topic by requesting by email answers from influencers in your market such as news anchors, business owners, civic leaders
  • Ask business partners or affiliates, such as mortgage lenders, home inspectors, title companies, escrow officers, to send authored articles and links to their website
  • Announce your involvement in non-profits, charitable events and organizations
  • Paste tables of recent sales or other industry stats

Just Married

 After years and years we finally tied the knot.

My girlfriend asked me a week after the wedding, "So how is married life?" I replied, great, if I had to do if over again I would. Both of us chuckled thinking at the same time..... with today's divorce rate, that could happen. So I'm modifying my answer to, "I'd do it again, but not to someone else. :)

Stealth sites lead to success

"Speaking as a REALTOR®, I can tell you that so far this year, my personal RPS stealth sites generated about $10,000,000 in sales. Remember: this is Portland Oregon, not Berkeley, so our average price is only $240,000. 

"The secret to the whole thing is keeping our egos out of it. As agents, we always promote ourselves. We name domain names after ourselves, have 6" glossies of ourselves on our sites, etc. This does not appeal to the consumers as much as directly meeting their needs through a stealth site.  

“I am in Portland Oregon, home to 20,000 Intel engineers. Some of my clients are in the ‘social anthropology’ group, and they literally do studies on how we do things. What they have shared with me is that our main buyer group grew up trusting technology, they hate salespeople and they don't want to be ‘sold.’ One of the reasons is they can find out more on the product they are buying on the Internet than the salesperson knows, whether it be a car, a camera or a house. They tell me that those people are more attracted to a "stealth" site precisely because they don't have to talk to a salesperson in order to get information.

 “This is why stealth sites work. We promote our stealth site addresses over and above our main site address in real estate magazines, on the back of our flyers and via postcards mailed to our IVR callers.”

I want to share my experience about Real Pro Systems. We as a team have dumped tons of money into "great" marketing ideas only to be left feeling as though we should have saved some time and flushed our money down the toilet. With Real Pro Systems this is not the case though. They take care of putting everything together (with great service at that) and it is a system that covers everything!!!! For once we feel we have a system that no leads will fall through the cracks.The system is so great that we recieved 3 leads (not daffy duck, and the emails don't bounce back) within the first 12 hours!!!!
